The last Bugatti 51 English edition
José BARROS RODRIGUES
In October 1935, the Molsheim factory sold to a happy customer – as were all customers of that brand – its last Bugatti 51. His name was Francisco Ribeiro Ferreira, he was Portuguese and the Type 51, which was delivered to him in Elvas, at the border with Spain, was “raced” on national roads to Lisbon to be legalized and make its debut with a victory at the Estoril Circuit.
