BMW 3.0 CSL – Limited Edition – English Edition

For the first time, we had unrestricted access to the BMW, Alpina and Schnitzer archives, enabling us to present the complete delivery data of all 1,265 BMW 3.0 CSL road cars built. The four series built from 1971 to 1974 and their differences are presented in detail. The story begins with Burkard Bovensiepen, who convinced the BMW board to launch a lightweight coupé to compete with the powerful Ford Capris from Cologne in touring car racing. In addition to the technical and homologation specs, the book also details the racing cars built by the factory, which are presented chassis by chassis, including their use.
