Racing Pictorial Series by HIRO N° 31: McLaren MP4/8 1993

The issue no. 31 of Racing Pictorial Series by HIRO is featuring the last McLaren car raced by Senna, the MP4/8 in 1993.

The contract with the engine supplier Honda ended together with last year’s season, the McLaren competed the races with under-powered Ford HB series engines installed. However, with the help of high-tech and advanced aerodynamics design and the aggressive driving by Senna, together they won the raining Brazilian GP, especially winning with a great lead in European GP is still being discussed in the present time.
Although it didn’t achieved to win Prost from the Williams, it won 5 champions and finished the season in second place. Michael Andretti, the CART champion driver with great expectation from the crowd, only won a chance to stand on the trophy stand once in the Italian GP, then the last 3 rounds of this season is being replaced by Mika Häkkinen, had run the race as expected just like announcing the new era has come. Then Senna transferred to Williams after this season.
