The Bray, or Cuairt Bhré, ‘Round the Houses’ motor races have a unique place in Irish motor racing history. They were the first street races held in Southern Ireland and as such paved the way for similar races in Limerick, Cork, Tallaght and Wicklow. In the two years they were held, they produced memorable and exciting racing and were a real test of men and machine.
