The 250 photographs and thrilling anecdotes bring to life the atmosphere of a year marked by numerous triumphs - and tragedies - including the title awarded posthumously to Jochen Rindt, the debut of François Cevert in Formula 1, the very first victory of Porsche at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, filming on location at Le Mans with Steve McQueen, and a final tribute to Bruce McLaren.
